We just began a unit in 8th grade science on the properties of waves. We will be learning about the different types of waves, career paths where you would use this knowledge, and some fun hands on activities!
I wanted to make a shout out to 8th grade science students! They did an AMAZING job on their debates about whether or not cell phones can cause brain tumors/ cancer. They used an article put out by the American Cancer Society to debate the affects of cell phones on our brains and whether there is a link between cell phone use and brain tumors/cancer.
They made some amazing points and did an awesome job! 8th graders have math homework tonight on surface area and volume of figures.
Graph:
y = 6x^2 + 48x +98 y = 2x^2 - 8x + 5 Factor using zero product property: 6x^2 + 2x = 4 2x^2 - x -10 = 0 Factor using Quadratic Formula -4x^2 + x + 7 = 0 |
